interesting.."...huge deficits and continued efforts to police the world.." I have many US of A Friends who use this misnomer police the world. Your Imperial armed forces are out there to control the resources primarily energy and their flow routes..even your so called Foreign Aid is by in large credits for the US armament industries...Your real problem is that you have a SHADOW Imperial government quietly pulling the strings while everyone else spends their time running expensive campaigns (paid for by these quiet leaders) and entertaining the Washington bullshit News establishment..sorry for the intrusion nothing personal!
