Answering for me: It's not that simple.

I'm invested in INTC for the long haul. I buy INTC steadily with a dollar cost averaging scheme. I'm using a chunk of capital that I earmarked for riskier trading strategies for my AMD. Did not liquidate INTC to do this.

AMD to me looks good to me in the near term. So does INTC.

It's called buying the sector.

I believe x86 fundamentals look good this year. AMD is executing at the moment. Both will do fairly well IMO.

Hope that makes my position clear as mud.
