I think Ancor (ANCR) will be a good aquisition for Cisco.
Cisco will obtain a complete fiber channel product line while Ancor will gain a marketing and support organization that it lacks.

Price will be at least $50 / share (given about 10 million shares outstanding equals approx $500 million) which is about 25x estimated gross annual revenue for Ancor in 1996-1997. For Cisco, this is an outstanding value for gaining entry into fiber channel market estimated at $1 billion market per year within the next few years. It is clear the Fiber Channel technology is superior to ATM for high speed network applications especially with respect to latency of transmission. Fiber channel has already been adopted as the next generation standard for storage systems (hard drives). It will also likely to used as underlying medium for gigbit Ethernet applications.

Check it out! Let me know if you disagree with my analysis.
