Once again, only reporting one side of the issue, and not showing the benefits. Even what you cited admits they don't know...

Conservatives at odds over immigration reform costs
cbsnews.com

"Seeking to slow down efforts at comprehensive immigration reform, the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation on Monday released a report suggesting that creating a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants would be a huge financial burden on the nation.

So far, however, the report has only served to rankle other conservatives in favor of immigration reform, who called the analysis flawed and politically motivated."

This is what I am saying about the reports you are posting...they are politically motivated to try to slow down or stall immigration reform.

"In contrast, legalization of low-skilled immigrant workers would yield significant income gains for American workers and households. Legalization would eliminate smugglers’ fees and other costs faced by illegal immigrants. It would also allow immigrants to have higher productivity and create more openings for Americans in higherskilled occupations. The positive impact for U.S. households of legalization under an optimal visa tax would be 1.27 percent of GDP or $180 billion."

"The debate over the economic implications of immigration isn’t clear-cut. On one hand, some argue that the “cost of giving illegal immigrants path to citizenship could outweigh fiscal benefits” because these immigrants lack education, which results in low-paying jobs and small income-tax contribution. This would cost taxpayers $29 billion annually. On the other hand, there are studies that show that the full deportation reduces the GDP by 0.61%, legalization with border control increases it by 0.17% and legalization without border control increases it by 0.53%."

Look at who is holding the sign here...and who is giving thumbs down...
