Now that's funny!

IMHO, Intel's Pentium II xxx will never fly much faster that its current 333 mhz in consumer products. Too bulky & complex chip. Too expensive to produce. Too high a rejection rate in wafer fabrication.

This inventory meltdown situation among the Wintels is going to produce pricing pressure on Apple's G3 line with the potential of reducing margins during the 3rd quarter. If management reacts appropriately, market share should not erode. Because of this unfolding scenario, it is likely that AAPL will remain relatively flat to slightly erode, barring unforeseen announcements, until just before April 15, when it will at first dip on pre-news profit taking, then move to the upside of todays prices on performance. Even then, the upside will remain suppressed by expectation of a difficult quarter.

The opinions expressed here are pure forward looking conjecture and may or may not have any basis in fact.

Good hunting,
