It was talked about in Texas when Junior was governor.
Austin had quite a cocaine scene back in the 1970s (I didn't have Junior's money flow in those days). I would get wind of it as hearsay gossip (after Bush was governor, I never heard of him before that even though his father was well known).

It's been written up a bit, but not expanded upon.
