Novazen to Integrate Cybercash Technology Into Customer Care and Billing Systems Cybercash Inc. on-line payment capabilities strengthen Novazen solutions SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 1998-- Novazen Inc., a developer of Internet-based customer care and billing software for the communications and electronic commerce industries, Wednesday announced it will integrate CyberCash's electronic payment solutions into its electronic bill presentment and payment software module.
The announcement was made here at the National Conference on Internet Billing.
CyberCash's Paynow Secure Electronic Check Service will be incorporated by Novazen to allow customers to review, analyze and pay bills via the Internet, with no additional software required.
''Our decision to partner with Cybercash offers our customers a secure, proven electronic bill payment solution that is unparalleled in the industry,'' Vincent Jordan, president and CEO of Novazen, said. ''Our comprehensive customer care systems are designed to offer the finest technology available and CyberCash certainly meets those high standards.''
''We're excited about our partnering with Novazen because they offer an interactive customer care solution that extends beyond bill presentment,'' Nancy C. Goldberg, vice president and general manager of Internet billing and payment services for Cybercash, said.
''Novazen is one of the first companies to combine Internet-based customer care and electronic bill presentment and payment into an integrated solution. We expect the relationship between our companies to enhance the value proposition to both of our customer bases.''
Novazen's software integrates with existing billing or statement generation systems. It is a series of modular, customizable software components that allows corporate users to offer a personalized, total customer care solution that is Internet-based and completely interactive.
Novazen's technology offers consumers a complete choice of options for accessing information and receiving and paying bills -- from traditional call centers to electronic commerce.
CyberCash's bill payment begins with the customer entering a password to access account information securely at a biller's Web site. When the amount due is presented, the customer simply clicks on a PayNow.button.
The PayNow initiates a payment directly from the consumer's checking account to the biller's account, much like a paper check pays a bill in today's physical world. PayNow enables transactions to move securely between consumers, billers and their banks.
