Greetings to all you fello Ampex followers,investors,commentators and believers. I am new to this medium and I have been following the conversations for several months and find all of the comments very intriging! Also, I believe this company to be a very good investment based on the particular industry, the potential prospects(i.e. KM technology, patents in digital technology, etc.), upcoming contracts, and the begining of a new era in computer technology(digital T.V.). In addition, I believe the investors who believe in Ampex and the business will reap the rewards for your ability to have a vision of what the future has to hold for this company(both short term and long). It only takes a moment to really decipher what this company is all about and how it plays a part in the future of digital technology and how they can they tap in to this vast and promising enterprise.
As individual investors, I am confident that it is only a matter of time(in the near future) that we, who have invested in AXC, will be generously rewarded for our ability to see what the future has to hold. This is what makes investing what it is. It is very exciting and challenging to put what you have worked for day in and day out and to get rewarded so handsomely(oops-thinking ahead of myself).
I will tell you that I am a manager for a major corporation for which I have worked for for over seven years and I have been investing in the stock market for about 5 years as an individual. Some of the companies I have invested in or am still invested in include axc of course,wdc,digi,usld,hccc,pgsay,qcom,klac,xcit,idti(with this I made a down pmt on my 1st house),rig,bhi,wcom, and glm from off the top of my head, and I believe axc to be in the top 5% for future potential. I do not claim to be a stock guru or even an "expert" for that matter. I am just another hard working American with a family of four wanting to make life just a little more exciting and a little bit better. I am not out to make a bundle of money over night because this only makes life less enjoyable. I believe in earning a living, and doing it smartly. I follow the beliefs of the great Peter Lynch most of the time and I tend to take some risks based on a gut feeling. I suscribe to Worth,Individual Investor, Value Line, and a few newsletters here and there.
The bottom line is I believe we have quality investment here and we all just need to be patient and to put aside all the hype and the hoopla and only look at what we need to look(focus!!!). What are some of the things that make an investment a good or a great investment? Well, the first thing we want to look at is earnings,future earnings,potential for accelerating growth,the industry, trends, reasonable R&D, etc. Does axc have all this? YES! Maybe they should think about a new slogan for the company such as "The Memory of the future is Today-AMPEX"!
