I don't believe in the claim that any business is "too big to fail". I think this claim is an excuse for corruption and for ripping off the taxpayer. I failed business should fail, that's all there is to it.

That said, if you and I came up with a good idea for a health insurance company, no one should have the right to stop us from giving it a try. If we provide a good product and compete successfully against others (like, say, against another company founded by Mary and i-node) - we get rich. If we fail, we lose our money and go get a job.

I recall the story of Oxford Health. The company was started by a guy by the name Steve Wiggins. At the time he founded Oxford, the guy had $10K to his name.
