I agree with junior, if he has known which airliners were going to be hijacked and by who he would have done something. I don't think many would disagree with that. The question is with all of the information he had about terrorists planning an attack and the likelihood that the attack would be in the USA and involve hijacked airliners which might be flown into buildings in New York City. Why didn't he do anything to try and stop them. He can't point to anything and say "here's what I did, it was the best defense we could come up with." He was on vacation almost half the year.

I think Rice is already regretting the statement when she said who could have ever foreseen that they would hijack airliners and fly them into buildings. She doesn't want to answer questions about that.

I think the 9-11 panel should ask junior's aides "did junior know anything prior to 9-11 and does he know anything today".
