‘Hillary For Prison’? Not So Fast.

Donald Trump’s official campaign store sold “Hillary For Prison” merchandise on their website all year long. Any mention of Secretary Clinton at his hate-filled rallies was met with a chant of “Lock Her Up!” In the second Presidential debate, after Clinton said it was “good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump was not in charge of the law in our country”, Trump replied, “Because you’d be in jail.” These dangerous statements, reminiscent of a banana republic where political opponents are imprisoned by victorious or conquering juntas, were among the juiciest cuts of red meat that Trump tossed into the cages of his most rabid backers. If “The Wall” was ground beef, “Lock Her Up” was a king-cut Prime Rib.
