One of the companies that George Gilder admitted having a "fairly large" position is CNXT, which only went public in January 1999. He recommended it in his newsletter sometime in the fourth quarter of 1999, so from the time that he bought a significant position and when he sent out a recommendation is his newsletter was 9 months max, and probably more like 3 months.

I think that he should add the standard disclaimer for each and every stock that he talks about is his newsletter. (i.e I own shares in the XYZ corp)
