DULLES, Va. and AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1999-- America Online (NYSE: AOL - news), the world's leading interactive services company, and drkoop.com, Inc. Everett Koop, the former U.S. Surgeon General, today announced that drkoop.com content has launched across four additional AOL brands, marking the continued roll-out of the four-year alliance announced in July.
As AOL's premier healthcare content provider, drkoop.com's health information and content will now be fully extended to the largest consumer audience in cyberspace, including AOL and CompuServe's combined membership of 20 million members, as well as the millions of visitors to AOL.COM, Digital City and Netscape Netcenter.
Starting today, drkoop.com will be prominently integrated throughout the AOL brands by providing features and expert advice in the women's, men's and children's health areas on AOL.COM; top health stories and interactive tools and databases to CompuServe's Health Channel; up-to-date information and resources to Digital City's medical conditions and categories database; and interactive tools and daily tips to visitors of Netscape Netcenter.
