The only real gains in covered persons is the 20 million+ who were added to Medicaid by ACA. The number of privately insured appears to be about the same as before.

They will. Unfortunately, the ACA disbanded many of the charity hospital organizations (we lost one in my town that my mother trained at in the 1930s and had already been here 20-30 years before that -- sold out to a for-profit).

I don't know what will happen -- but those people are not getting much health care as it is. They're getting coverage, but they are mostly having to go to ERs because doctors can't afford to take care of them at a loss.

It is a mess. And we're not coming back from it anytime soon.

When the government says we're going to give you health care cover your ass.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to get back to where we were before. The damage is huge, and it is done.
