hey rich

"blowing away the OS and re-installing from backup"

naturally, you always run a scan prior to backing up so that there is no way you'd encounter an infected back up. right?

"I always keep my virus definitions current (weekly checks)"

they (vendors) used to recommend every 30 days, remember? i think they are still saying every two weeks. yet for the first time that i can remember, i have recently found new virus defs waiting on consecutive days. or every two to three days. that's getting a whole lot more common.

i check every day. what the heck.

:)
