there are probably hundreds if not thousands of monopolies in various markets within the United States. Somehow most of them are able to still do well without breaking the anti-trust laws. Pretty amazing, huh? Most of them are breaking the anti-trust laws. It's just a matter of political expediency to go after one or two high profile companies at a time. I'm sure the DOJ and FTC would be happy to have their departmental budgets doubled or tripled so they could more rigorously control and regulate our "free" economy for the benefit of poor helpless consumers and inept businesses, not to mention their own cushy, high paying, taxpayer funded bureaucratic jobs. I think you've read too much Ayn Rand. She was a very bright woman and a lot of her ideas make a lot of sense. Regards, JB
