In 1942 because of my Father working double shifts in defense we were forced to move out of the low income projects on 120 street and 1st avenue Manhattan. He simply earned two much for us to remain living there. My parents bought a house in Ozone Park Queens and my father continued to work in defense until 1964 when he was hired by McDonnell aircraft to work in their commercial airline line. He remained there until force retirement at age 72 in 1980. So I am biased in my opinion but I believe Hirohito got us out of the great depression.
