Well, anytime you work with NT-based servers, some form of corruption always comes into play. It's not will it crash, it's more when will it crash. Depending on the type of server, the key thing is having current backups on hand.

Access to servers themselves is pretty limited, and is set for 'only give it to them if they need it' access. A decent server based anti-virus software installation is key. CA makes some really decent products for that. Gotta be extra careful in today's world of worm viruses... especially with the exchange servers.

Gotta remember, many people forget, or don't bother to test their backups. The worst thing that can happen to you is when a critical machine goes down the tubes, and the restore tapes don't work. Always test your backups, and have more than 1 around.

Personally, I have 5 different backups for my data at home. Is it needed? Maybe not, but hey, I've seen weird stuff happen... better be safe than sorry.
