Bill, Apples fare well. Must be about 300 PPC Macs with
a few straggler 68K, and combo Mac and Unix servers. Network
is 10/T in a very mixed shop. There are only two full-timers
to handle Macs, including all hardware and software issues. Macs
here tend to run alot of apps, not just a couple, and email is
mostly Mac.

Little experience we have with Wintels are that they are a
pain in the butt. Probably, because like the Macs, we don't have
standard equip or config. For Macs, not a problem. But it seems
the "problem free" installations I hear about for Wintels are
on pretty tightly spec'd systems--one brand, one config, limited
number of apps.
