SI, thank you again for your perceptive comments, which I've really come to appreciate. As for ASND, it occurs me that silence from management can be a sign that something is in the works. Speaking of which, ASND management has been awfully quiet of late, don't you think? As a test, I might want to call Bernie Schneider, put to him the LU rumor, and see what response is elicited.
But, then, if LU can't be talking merger until Fall 1988 (as per prior post), then all of this is just nonsense.
Per another prior post, Reuters noted today that all of the networking stocks fell, ASND included:
"Networking stocks closed lower, with 3Com Corp <COMS.O>
Ascend Communications <ASND.O>, Cisco Systems Inc <CSCO.O>,
Cabletron Systems Inc <CS.N> and Bay Networks Inc <BAY.N> all
posting losses."
