JDN -
I think SUNW is a great investment, and I also did very well with them 10 years ago... and frankly, their ability to convince people that "the network is the computer" even though NFS is a dog, that they have "always cared about quality" when there is some question about whether they care much about it now and certainly did not care about it at all for most of their history, and that "they put the dot in dot.com" when they are actually #4 in that space has contributed in no small part to their recent run up.

Likewise, SUNW did not have a significant presence in any mission-critical applications until they developed a play doing data retrieval for wall street firms with Sybase in 1992-93... and even there, few would have called SUNW's presence mission-critical, since the tricky stuff was done on VAX, IBM and Tandem hardware (and to a large extent still is)...

But in today's market, perception is everything, and as long as SUNW can convince the market, they don't have to convince engineers like me... my investment in SUNW is nearly a double in only two weeks so I hope they continue to impress investors.
