Korea's Anam to Operate 0.25-micron
DSP Lines

November 17, 1997 (TOKYO) -- Anam Industrial Co. Ltd.
of Korea, a leading IC assembly maker, in December will
begin mass producing digital signal processors designed by Texas
Instruments Inc. of the United States.

The line uses 0.25 micron meter process and can process 25,000
200mm wafers/month at maximum capacity. Construction of the first
production line started in 1996.

The line uses the standard mechanical interface clean technology
method and line-automation for wafer carriage.

Anam expects to start supplying its ICs to TI, with which it has a
technological tie-up.
