JERUSALEM, Jan 8, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- e-SIM (NASDAQ:ESIM), the leader in
advanced simulation technology for product design, Web-based customer support
and marketing, announced today that it has entered into a strategic partnership
with ART, Advanced Recognition Technologies Ltd., the global leader in Natural
Human Interface technologies.

The partnership will enable the companies to offer customers speech and
handwriting recognition capabilities for product prototypes created with the
RapidPLUS tools and LiveManuals product simulations.

The partnership allows e-SIM to offer customers the ability to include ART's
speaker dependent and speaker independent Speech Recognition products as well as
ART's innovative natural Handwriting input capabilities in simulations of
products such as: cellphones, automotive systems and other products. ART

their speech and handwriting enabled products," said Nir Ben-Dor, Director of
Sales and Business Development, Europe of ART. "With RapidPLUS, our customers
will be able to ensure that ART's technology is being used in the most efficient
and friendly way."

"This partnership will further help our customers shorten the development time
and improve their products," said Ken Dixon, President, e-SIM Ltd. "We also
believe that in addition to complementing our software in existing markets, this
technology combination will allow us to better address specialized markets such

More About ART's Recognition Technologies

smARTspeak NG - the comprehensive speech recognition solution:

First to successfully combine all Voice Dialing and Control functions for
speaker-independent and speaker-dependent systems, smARTspeak NG's comprehensive
speech recognition algorithm is an all-in-one solution for operation in the
tight processing power environment of today's mass-market mobile devices. The
unique bundle allows OEMs to simply customize preferred functions onto a single
mass-produced model instead of having to choose which technologies to deploy on
new devices.

smARTspeak NG offers voice-enabled features such as name dialing, continuous
digit dialing, menu navigation and device control. It also includes ART's latest
innovation: a speaker-independent digit dialing function with adaptation
possibility for heavily accented International English - or any other language
spoken with dialect.

simpliWrite and smARTwriter handwriting recognition solutions:

'Noise robust' to intuitively accept inaccurate or 'trembling' script, with
continuous on-the-fly recognition, ART's best of breed handwriting recognition
technologies have been globally proven by both manufacturers and end-users
alike. With no new characters or symbols to learn, ART's revolutionary solutions
demand no training, but recognize user's own natural handwriting. They currently
support all major Western European languages, and also allow concurrent
multilingual use. These technologies are also self-trainable and adjustable for
special handwriting needs.
