Can someone affirm the real numbers for application and database revenue growth? I'm seeing different numbers reported in different places. Some have it low, some have it high.

I think 36% income growth quarter-to-quarter is pretty great, given ERP these days. I keep thinking about the fact that Oracle is up from ~$13 split adjusted just over a year ago.

I was one of those who bought summer 1997 ($24 split-adjusted), only to watch it crater. At this point, though, even at $30/share, it hasn't been a terrible investment, although it has trailed the market. I still think Oracle is doing well on the long term path of high earnings growth.

I did, however, shed some shares at $50 before the split. I was regretting it, but hey, maybe I can buy them back now at a cheaper price...

Haven't heard alot about SQL Server 7 lately...
