We have to understand how MicroSoft counts ... I belong to the MicroSoft Developer Network ... I bought one copy of Win NT. From the MSDN Subscription I have received 4 more copies of NT. I think I have two NT licenses ... I got about 8 copies of NT from MS somehow over the last year or 2 though. Remember I only bought ONE though, and I think a Second license is included witht the MSDN subscription.

How many do you think that their PR folks would say they 'shipped' to me? How many do you think I'm using? (only ONE!)

Oh, I bought one copy of NetWare 4.1 ... never received any updates.

Does this mean that NT 'shipped' 500% more NT to me than NetWare? Or maybe 'outsold' (to me) Netware 5 to 1?

PS ... to the Novell PR folks ... a bunch of 'no cost' or 'low cost' CDs to Developers and you could say that you 'outsold NT' ... 10 to 1!
It might help! I'd certainly be thinking about new IntraNetware technology more often ... CDs don't cost that much. If it were me I'd still only have ONE license. It might even help persuade me to target more development work to IntraNetware.
