If GSM companies are using it's vendor financing to force it's customers to buy inferior equipment at the expense of their customers and shareholders, there is potential for racketeering charges. What about the potential for collusion between the equipment makers and the government regulators to support a non-existant standard. My only point is that if someone like BT wants their money back for 3G licenses, they could rip destroy the GSM cabal in courts and get some of their money back for the spectrum.
