Romenesko, which bends left, picks up Eason as, "I didn't know the gun was loaded, and I'm sooo sorry, my friend." CNN exec: I've never thought U.S. military targeted journos Washington Post Rep. Barney Frank recalls CNN chief news executive Eason Jordan saying at a World Economic Forum panel that he knew of 12 journalists who were killed by coalition forces in Iraq. At first, says Frank, "it sounded like he was saying it was official military policy to take out journalists." That's not right, says Jordan. "I have never once in my life thought anyone from the U.S. military tried to kill a journalist. Never meant to suggest that. Obviously I wasn't as clear as I should have been on that panel."
