Y2K has stressed workers saying 'Y me?'

Fallout from Y2K is already being felt as scores of employees scramble to
balance new work and family pressures caused by year-end job demands.
Working parents who have been banned from taking vacations in case of
computer glitches are trying to find care for children home on winter break.
Many others are stressed because they must take on long hours, shoulder
extra workloads or cancel family celebrations due to Y2K. Some school
districts are extending winter break by up to a week so educators can deal
with Y2K problems - further stressing parents because today's tight labor
market has left babysitters and child care workers in short supply.
