The fix for security bug involving Intel i7 processor could result in a big drop in computer performance - 30%.

This particular intel processor has been in use since 1995, but the problem has only just recently been discovered. Fixes are apparently under way by Microsoft, Apple & Linux OS. AMD processors apparently are not as vulnerable.

I'm not looking forward to a reduction in speed, as this computer I am using is powered by that processor.
