LG Telecom in Talks with 3 Foreign Firms LG Telecom is in negotiations with three telecommunications giants from the United States, Canada and Japan. Sources said LG is seeking to attract each of the three foreign companies to its consortium for third generation CDMA-2000 service. The three firms are Verizon in the United States, TIW Systems in Canada and KDDI Corp. in Japan. The details of the firms' participation in the consortium have not been established yet, sources said.
