re: it just does not feel like the time to buy yet
The time to be loading up, buying LEAPs, using margin, is precisely the time when it doesn't "feel" right to do so. Your feelings are wrong. So are mine. When everyone is panicking, when people who said they were "in for the long haul" change their mind, when you don't want to even look at your portfolio because it's so scary and ugly, when there are large net outflows from stock mutual funds, that's the time to smile and buy, buy, buy.
It's possible I'm wrong, about "the bottom is in". But that's what I heard the management say, when I listened to the CCs of NTAP and AMAT and CSCO and TXN and every other I listened to. Maybe I heard them wrong.
Did you listen to those CCs? What did you hear them say? |
