Cut and pasted from the GOP website

So what. Accurate is accurate.

... it's BS to say that the court of public opinion had already established civil rights by 1955

You were talking about 1964. Now you're shifting to 1955.

Racial discrimination is still common and is mostly found among Conservatives.

Prove it. There's plenty of real world evidence to the contrary - consider the levels of integration in southern vs northern and west coast cities. To the extent there's a difference, I think most southern cities are likely less racially divided.

Why do you think the south is solid conservative now?

I suppose you mean Republican. The southern shift to the Republican party was paralleled by a similar shift among whites in northern cities which like southern whites had also traditionally been Democrats. The capture of the Democratic party by the leftwing prior to the 1972 election had a lot to do with that.

.and the Civil Rights Act made it through congress after the riots caused by MLK's assassination.

You need to check your historical chronology. King was killed in 1968.
