My Inspiron does have an audio jack for headphones or you can run it into a source (amp,etc.) There are speakers, but not very big and wouldn't do well for a movie. I figured you were thinking in terms of kids watching in the car and headphones aren't a good idea. I bought mine at the Dell Factory outlet here and I wanted at least 128 ram. I run about 8-10 browsers at once and figured I needed the ram. Check out gigabuys and the dell site.

You can often find used DELLs and that wouldn't be a bad way to fly if you can find what you want. Also--buy the 3 year extended for $199. I hate extended warranties but the display alone will cost $1600 if it needs replaced. THat # could be obsolete, but that was the case about 9 months ago.
