The GOP could steal a close election again if it comes down to one state where they control the counting and voter roll scrubbing, like FLorida 2000 and Ohio 2004. It would also have to have a large black population they can target to deny them their right to vote. But congress is passing laws making it illegal for state officials in charge of elections to also be involved with any campaign.

Also, I expect the GOP will lose by 10% in 2008, unless they get very lucky.
