Why on earth would farmers from Oregon want to go to Illinois? The weather there is much more severe. My point is that I am not challenging your experience as a farmer. I would be pretty lost if a big wind just picked me up and dropped me on your farm, and I had to grow anything. I don't know if I would ever be able to get rid of Monsanto, but if I could I would try to get the topsoil in wonderful shape and let the land lay fallow for awhile. I would have to have some help from organic farmers in your neighborhood! Not all of the world's economists and agriculture experts are family farmers. They are looking at the big picture. There is a wealth of them who believe that sustainable agriculture will feed everyone and high tech GM agriculture will not, however. I continuously post tracts discussing their ideas. Do you ever read them?
