Keith, I tend to think Uniphz will reassure NewTech
imo they are becoming (not quite have become) the bellwether for NewTech and fiberoptic

like I said earlier, after a sizeable decline, the spin strangely turns positive... I sincerely doubt CEO Franz will offer anything remotely construed as negative... Intel calmed OldTech, Uniphz will calm NewTech

from what I read and heard about Nortel, several key customers anticipated tight supplies... so they overbought and inventoried extra components in Q2, thus leading to a softer Q3 just reported... NT ceo said as much, but followed with claim that Q4 is expected to exceed Q2 and be very strong... nothing has changed for this FO giant, but they are involved to some extent in longdist phone and wireless phone operations... so they are no way a pure FO play

Lucent is irrelevant to me, a loser with pathetic planning... and my ex-father-in-law running some dept... to hell with him, the hores he rode in on, and his whole fatdumbhappy organization... Lucent is fumbling almost everything they touch... sure, they brought to the table serious developmts with wavelength division multiplexing... let Bell Labs bring the industry new breakthrus

I cannot say about the NT stock, but I do think that a collection of (JDSU, NT, CIEN, SCMR) will enjoy a robust recovery... I expect nothing much will scream upward next week, not with the elections coming... but I wouldnt be surprised to see a nice 10-12% rise on single day for each of these, when the houses talk them up... those sick bastards have been buying throughout this mess... personally I point to JDSU as the stock offering the biggest rebound potential... its merger is close, not really close, but such a wet blanket is soon to lift

I have been buying JDSU with those sick bastards in the Ivory Houses... I bought JDSU at 70 then 71, and missed out on mid-60's... a little pissed off for the suboptimal purchase... I have been called a QuickShooter by more than a few people (mostly male)

Naz certainly didnt like the water at 3100
too much halitosis and flatullence down there

JDSU TURNED GREEN, YANK MY ROOT
if it closes green, then serious Japanese Hammer bull signal
