PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1998-- Watkins-Johnson Co. (NYSE:WJ - news) announced that its model R1910C in-building PCS repeater has been type-certified by the FCC.
The ''over the air'' CDMA repeater provides coverage to shopping malls, airports, multistory buildings, small-site applications and other indoor locations where PCS signals may be obstructed.
Small, lightweight and easy to install, the R1910C repeater provides quick and low-cost in-building coverage. One installer can mount the unit and connect the R1910C to an antenna with low-cost coaxial cables. The unit plugs into a standard wall outlet. Coverage is immediate and seamless. The R1910C comes with software to monitor signal strength and control frequency channel and gain.
