you take a risk, you have a right to profit. it is not greedy.

"When a friend expects 20%/yr return on a share, I call him greedy."

if you think it won't return 20% a year, then i think 'stupid' would be a more accurate word than greedy. if your friend made more than 20% a year he might be considered smart, but in neither case greedy.
