Warning to the thread, Shorters lurking..We have seen how news articles can influence our stocks. Although I have had NITE on watch and am 'ready to be bullish' on this one there is a group of stocks that have been 'eyed' by shorters and NITE, NAVR and AMTD are a few of them. Whether we agree or not is moot here. The rather well written article is in this weeks Business Week deserves your attention if you are planning to 'bargain shop' the E-brokers or E-bank stocks. I say go with the trend. The short sellers mention the risk online brokerage firms face from competition, especially with competition now from established firms like MER and others. I'm not saying to short these stocks, but from experiences with AMZN, AOL, both long and short I found that going with the 'sentiment' is much more profitable than 'loyalty and hanging on to old favorites' for dear life. Your tenacity and loyalty will not necessarily be rewarded in this case.
