The real crunch occurred in early January. A mess. SI moved from one place in San Jose to another; this had to do with the installation of the T3 lines.

Since they've already got a good idea what can happen when the system's overtaxed, I don't doubt they're planning ahead. Even so, half a million members will be pretty unwieldy, especially on the more heavily trafficked threads, like this one.
