Agree and yet i am reluctant to average down the price of my "old" purchase. My main concerns are :

(i) they are too much in the commodity side of the business - the implication is that raiders are wary of that. Who want to repeat the blunder of taking over us-robotics. This is also reflected in a lousy profit margin of 6%. Where is C$CO ? Or what is 3COM GPM ?
on the other hand 25 times earnings for a mid-high tech company might be the fair price ...

(ii) management. It's not the kind of folks that dazzles me
(like Craig Barrett or Mory Ejabat)

(iii) their strategy of conquering the network from the edge never came through. I believe this has been an old Benhamou's tenet. In contrast what folks want, at this level, is something simple to plug and simple to operate. C$CO has been making the big bucks all the way WITH THE CORE.
Bay and A$ND have been bought up more because of the attractiveness of their technology than the price.
