You could play a key role in getting your worldwide GSM goal accomplished by facilitating a VOD/Mannesmann deal from your cozy relationships with the Mannesmann folks who don't like the arrogance and aggressiveness of VOD but are rational enough to share your vision.

What information do you have that gives you reason to think the Mannesmann folks don't like the arrogance and aggressiveness of Vod? It is not a view I have heard and I am interested in your comments.

Further, this question is best taken up on the Vod thread but I will ask it here anyway...Vod and Mannesmann share joint ventures in Italy, France, and soon to be Germany once the Ati deal is completed...they seem to be tied at the hip in many respects and I would think a Vod-Mannesmann deal is a real possibility. And I have heard that Vod may have "premptive rights" in acquiring Mannesmann (whatever that means if anything) because of their joint ventures if Mannesmann becomes a takeover target.
