Hello Neocon,
How do you think the old neocon/paleocon debate is going? It seems to me the neocons have won. It looked promising for the paleocons in the early 80's, but since the M.E. Bradford/Bill Bennett imbroglio the neocons' star has been rising while the paleocons slowly die off, i.e. Bradford, Murray Rothbard, Russell Kirk. The paleocon's last redoubt seems to be Chronicles magazine, as opposed to the numerous journals of the neoconservative bent. I have often thought the paleocons' only chance of surviving is to make alliances with libertarians and the old-line progressives. Do you think such alliances are possible, and if they are, can the paleocons lose their dyspepsia long enough to forge such alliances? Yours, Charles
