Peppe,LMDS deployment will be made first(in general) where fix wire infrastructure is poor.
"The total serving population of Tri-Corner territory is 107,433. That's people.
"Tri Corners is targeting its broadband LMDS offerings, including video conferencing and premium quality Internet protocol (IP) services, at business and residential customers and government, medical and educational institutions."
And finally why only NN is wining , so far, those small US contracts? Why we do not see similar announcement from NT or CSCO?
I would be more bearish, at this point, with competition offering, which is not scoring any win in US at all.(NT got only one so far)
We are at the early stage of the LMDS market, and many customers do not want to make it public, and this is the general statement in many areas of networking. But five announced deal for NN should tell us about activity in NN's or others LMDS business.
I saw many times CSCO or NT announcing trials only if such announcement was good from marketing point of view. What is wrong to announce small wins now!
Time will tell. So far NN is leading, based on officially announced deals, and further speculation should be suspended.
