I know Oracle is used by all the serious web-based services. But I am worried that their earnings growth has permanently slowed. They are making more sales, but at lower prices. MSFT has a way of sucking the profitability out of markets. It seems that Oracle, by being both platform and applications vendor, has signed up MSFT as competition for the database, and SAP/PSFT as competition on applications.
