SLM Software proposes name change SLM Software Inc ESP Shares issued 12,938,356 Jun 4 close $6.60 Mon 7 Jun 99 News Release Ms. Nancy Chan-Palmateer reports SLM Software will recommend to its shareholders, at its June 21, 1999, annual meeting, that the company change its name to SLMsoft.com Inc. The new name reflects SLM's business and the breadth of electronic commerce solutions the company provides its customers worldwide. The stock symbol for the company (TSE: ESP) will remain the same. "SLM has grown considerably to become one of Canada's top software providers of electronic commerce products and services. Changing our name to SLMsoft.com aligns our corporate banner with our business focus. We are well positioned to leverage our technology and customer base to build significant Internet and e-commerce presence, with a particular focus in the global financial service arena," said Govin Misir, chairman and chief executive officer, SLM Software Inc.
