Comparisons with AMD make NO SENSE AT ALL! AMD got slammed because INTC controls pricing, timing of new products, and everything else connected with motherboards. There were fundamental reasons for the price drop from 37 to 10 and that's why they occured over an extended period of time. CSCC was a momentum stock which fell out of favor with panicked institutions which didn't want it in their portfolios after the gap opening down on 40 million shares. However, the behavior on Friday was constructive even if painful. The selling stopped at 25 1/2 because someone was willing to take large positions at 25 3/4 and 25 7/8. Intraday charts showed that. The biggest problem with CSCC now is that ALL network stocks are being beat up in the news by negative recommendations and downgrades. Still, CSCC, ASND, CSCO, and COMS all held above their recent lows. The end is near and fundamentals are still good. Recoveries of at least 50% or upto the gap at 44-45 usually take no more that 2-3 months if the fundamentals still look good as they do for CSCC (Look at news releases- all positive). No one dominates the WAN business anymore than CSCC so they can't be dominated like INTC did to AMD and CYRX.
