TORONTO - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE:ATY, NASDAQ:ATYT) announced today
that Sony Electronics has selected the ATI RAGE(TM) 128 GL and VR
accelerators for its new expanded line of VAIO Digital Studio(TM)
desktop PCs.

ATI graphics are used in three new entry-level and high-end Sony VAIO
systems to deliver the advanced graphics and multimedia audio-visual
applications, along with cutting-edge 3D, 2D and video performance,
that PC enthusiasts expect from Sony.

ATI's accelerators are matched in the new Sony systems with the latest
industry components, including Intelr Celeron(TM) 466MHz and Intel
Pentiumr III 450 and 500MHz processors, DVD, dual drive re-writeable
