Doug, we need RESULTS, not just REPORTS! The PROOF is in the PUDDING!

Has the oven been turned on, and the pudding mix inserted?

Le Metropole members,

Midas du Metropole has served commentary at the James Joyce Table.

"Andrew Crockett of the BIS"
"South Africa's central bank chief, Chris Stals"
"Bundesbank's Ernst Welteke"
"London Times City Editor Commentary"
"proposed Swiss gold sale LOSING ground"
"much more"

How many of you Cafe members ever heard of "The Working Group"?

In the weeks to come, the Cafe is going to bring you
articles and commentary from many sources that may shed
some light on how the manipulation of the gold market, and
possibly other markets, unfolded over the years.

The first article was the Wall Street Journal article,
Long-Term Capital Bailout Spotlights a Fed 'Radical'
which can be read in the Library at the Dos Passos
Table dated May 26.

The next one has been served today at the Kiki Table
and is entitled,"Plunge Protection Team". It was written
by Brett D. Fromson, a Washington Post Staff Writer. It is
about the Working Group, established after the 1987 stock
drop, and is the government's high-level forum for
discussion of financial policy.

I found this statement to be of particular interest:

"To improve its ability to react in a crisis, the SEC and
the Fed have begun joint inspections with their British
counterparts of U.S. and British financial institutions
with global reach".

No one article is meant to provide a complete picture. Only
when presented in a methodical, chronological order will
some bells go off.

Today's Midas du Metropole begins to tie some of this
together, but only to get the ball rolling. The internet has
changed the world. Much of the activity that we are
highlighting was done at a time when it was hard to put 2
and 2 together. We believe mistakes have been made out there
that will begin to surface in the times ahead. Certainly
we can tie public commentary together.

We hope that those individuals on the internet that have
PERTINENT articles, or information, about this commentary
that is being presented at the Cafe, will send it to
us so that we may continue to build the most
comprehensive analysis of what has led up to the
manipulation of the gold market. I think when it is all put
together, it will surprise you.

Le Metropole Cafe

All the best,

Bill Murphy
