Was thinking about the AZBOM's fanatical ravings about IPM. Sent me off to Galileo website. He's the guy who noted the earth just might not be the center of the universe. I particularly like the bit starting (line3) "some Aristotelian astronomers...." Here is a bit lifted from that website:
"All of these discoveries -- and others -- posed yet more direct challenges to Aristotle's idea of the perfection of the heavens -- some Aristotelian astronomers refused to look through Galileo's telescope, others tried to deny what he had seen. The Roman Catholic Church, however, was becoming increasingly concerned -- and a young Dominican, Tommaso Caccini, was the first to denounce Galileo officially and the Copernican theory his observations seemed to support -- from the pulpit during a sermon in the Duomo -- or Cathedral -- of Florence.
A few years later, as concerns mounted, Galileo was officially advised by Cardinal Bellarmino on the Pope's behalf to proceed cautiously and speak only hypothetically about the Copernican theory, but not as if it were actually real.
Galileo returned to Florence and continued work on his book, but now he gave more emphasis to mathematical arguments rather than to esperimental or physical arguments. -- as the Pope wished. But when the book finally appeared in 1632, it raised an immediate storm of protest leading immediately to Galileo's arrest and famous trial by the Inquisition in Rome."
He lost: such is the power of a fanatical mob.
If I still have anyone's attention, let me ask a question. But first a few direct quotes from Nyal Niemuth I am sure he would be happy to "own." 1. Ipm is "like other fraudulent...blah blah blah" i.e. IPM is a fraud. (This is a fresh one from the Bloomberg article.) 2. "Consultants will say anything you want them to say." (He told me this in a phone interview a year or so ago. Probly repeated it a few zillion times since then.) 3. "This is the official view of the State of Arizona." (Haven't heard this first hand but a pal heard it from a shareowner who asked NN if this raving was his own opinion or the official view.) 4. "it doesn't matter what type of leach you dream up if there isn't anything in the ground in the first place." (words to that effect, anyhow, also fresh from the Bloomberg "article," to put any old name on it.) i.e. there's nothing there.
Oh,yea, before the question a fact: Behre Dolbear has "signed off" on assays of over 1000 samples, gold grade on average .04+ oz au/t. ($700mil dollars retail, by the way.) And lastly, an observation: if these bits from Niemuth are the "official view of the State of Arizona" they are also "officially", at least in my book, the offical view of the Board of Directors overseeing Nyal Niemuth and the AZBOM and hence the view of each and every person comprising that board. Here is the question: Since NN says IPM is a fraud, and since he says there's nothing in the dirt worth measuring, and since BD has signed off on a value of 16 bucks a ton at least as an assay (not as a resource or reserve) just what is each and every individual on the overseeing Board saying "officially" about Behre Dolbear?
Hint: They are saying this: The leading mining engineering firm in this country and if not damn near it is for sale and is abetting a fraud. I bet there isn't a SINGLE BOARDMEMBER even aware of this. This brings into focus the words of a fellow threadmember in his letter to the Governor: WAKE UP!!!
How happy would one of these board members be if the worst outcome possible prevailed: BD and several refiners actually find over .10 oz per ton gold. Niemuth (and AZBOM), completely discredited, is immune from any retribution being an employee of the State of AZ. But the boardmembers, being private citizens, find themselves liable because no one ever thought there could possibly be any real liability emanating from a little rock museum set up to promote mining in the state and hence did not bother to emplace any protection? This might just be possible. I wonder how happy they can be to learn that their designated "management" has basically implied that BD is a criminal enterprise? Or am I just misreading what I just read in Bloomberg?
OOPS, Guess that's more than just one question. |
